Classes Available
Disaster Assessment (1:00 PM to 5:00 PM): Teaches the disaster worker to survey damaged areas after a disaster.
Frontline Supervision (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM): Teaches the disaster worker to supervise disaster operations.
Foundation of Disaster Mental Health - Mental Health Workers (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) (CEU 0.7 or 6.5 Contact Hours): This class trains you to work with the Red Cross after a disaster to assist victims of a catastrophic event and the staff who attends them with mental health issues.
Health Services Response Workshop - Nurses (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) (CEU 0.5 or 5.25 Contact Hours): This class would enable you to work as a nurse in a disaster operation and aid in shelters.
Mass Care - Shelter Operations (8:00 AM to 12: Noon) This class willl train the disaster worker in the functions and operations of working in a shelter and how to aid the victims of disaster.
